It gave me nifty info like which Google searches lead people to my blog. After a a few years, my blog pages started loading very slowly, annoyingly slow, and I finally tracked it down to BAStats (using MySQL&#8217;s &#8220;show processlist&#8221; command). The BAStats tables were getting pretty big (hundreds of thousands of rows), and when I disabled BAStats, my blog sped up dramatically. So now it&#8217;s gone for good, and I&#8217;m using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/analytics\/\">Google Analytics<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n<p>So long BAStats, and thanks for all the fish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For several years I used BAStats on my blog to get visitor statistics.
