Baby Name Poll

Jamie and I have a sneaking suspicion that our new baby girl is waiting to be born until we’ve selected a name for her. Why don’t you help us out by voting on a name below? If you don’t see one you like, please leave a comment at the bottom of the page to suggest a new entry in the poll. Democracy at its finest.

K, So Parker likes Elizabeth, or Miranda, Emma likes Elizabeth, Nick likes Sadie. And for the record, Parker’s first responce was Sadie, and Em’s was Evelyn.

Good Luck!! How over due is she? Or are you guys just being whimps! ;)QQQ

Hi Young Folks, Just received your e=mail. What a neat idea. As you can see our choice is Elizabeth Margaret.. Margaret appears four times. Is there a particular reason? You probably know that my middle name is Margaret and, also, Sarah’s. My father’s mother’s first name was Margaret. Hence my middle name. My mother’s mother’s name was Rebecca Elizabeth. Do you like Rebecca? Probably Becky for short. Do the other names have any family significance? Anyway, she will be loved no matter what. Hope all goes well. We are anxiously waiting. May call you tonight. Love, Grandma
The Killian side has some Elizabeth & Margaret both. Elizabeth gets Beth and Liz as bicknames.

  3. Aubrey & Dave Scott Says:

We both really like Sadie. In fact, don’t be surprised if we use that name someday. I like Colleen as a middle name alright, but Dave thinks it would sound better with a different one. Maybe I should have just voted for Sadie Colleen then. I guess I just wanted to leave a comment. This is a fun idea, even though it really comes down to your preference. Anyway, best of luck to you with the birth. We look forward to the good news! Love, Aubrey

i like either Lydia Colleen or Miranda Colleen

  5. Lisa Llewellyn Says:

Good luck with the delivery! I think Sadie Smith has a nice ring to it. Mira or Mia is cute too, though. I have a friend named Evelyn and everyone calls her Evie, but I’m not as fond of that one.

Dave give in! let mommy have what she wants. She did all the work. Sadie is a cute name. Even if her name should have started with an (A).

    Hi guys,

Well I have to disagree strongly with Elizabeth because it is sooo boring. And Sadie is cute, but way too popular right now. So my vote was actually Evelyn cause you can shorten it into very cute names like Eve or Evie, and I like the Lydia idea too. Of course, I really just love Mia – why dont you just use that and forget about Miranda? Anyhow, good luck – it’s a tough decision.

    Sadie Colleen

  9. G.G. & G. G. Phillips Says:

Because we love the name Sadie Colleen and you can guess why. I’m glad we are voting with the majority. Hope Sadie comes soon. Love you all.

  10. Erika & Justin Banks Says:

Our vote is for Sadie or Lydia. I think both are very cute. Good luck picking. (Also, Justin wanted to stack the votes. He thinks we should just keep voting over and over again. I told him, probably not.)

HI, Such a wonderful and fun idea.. I like Sadie the most.. the middle name could go anyway. Whatever would be the most important to your family..
I like Sadie Miranda, Sadie Elizabeth, Sadie Margaret, or Sadie Colleen all of them sound nice. But Sadie for sure…
Let us know if you need anything and we cant wait to hear about the exciting news..

I think I like Sadie Elizabeth…or Evelyn Margaret, but you’d have to call her Evie.

I’ll be up there after the first of the year, when are you due?

Happy holidays and take care y’all!

I really like Sadie!, But i know someone isn’t sold on it(should be). I think Sophie and Gracie are pretty cute…It comes down to what y’all like because opinions are like…..beeeeeeepppp

  14. Betch Says:

I love Lydia, even if it is the annoying sister in Pride and Prejudice. But maybe you should spell it with the double L. You know, Llydia. It is beautiful! I’m excited for your baby!

  15. David Says:

    How about Cora Yvette?

Said quickly, it sounds like “Corvette,” the most patriotic car in the USA, with an exhaust note that is truly one of the best “sounds of freedom” there is.

  16. Raquel Says:

    Mary Elizabeth

  17. Sean Says:

How about Black or Lock, as in “blacksmith” and “locksmith”?

Or you could name her after a programming language:

    Perl, Maple, Ruby, Janus, etc.

Just doing my part to cure you of your patriotism ;)

  18. Jared Says:

I have a rule that if the name is more than 2 syllables, you have to consider the nickname as well since there’s a good chance it will become the “actual” name. So I have to go with Sadie since I’m not sure I can 100% endorse the nicknames with the others. (Middle names have no syllable limit)

  19. Kristin Says:

I agree with the other comments, I think Sadie is pretty common. The top choices for me were Evelyn (which I voted on) and Miranda.

  20. Katherine Jane Smith Says:

I chose “Something else,” because I think the best possible name would definitely be Katherine Jane Smith II.

  21. april Says:

Sean has a good one with ruby.
